Female Daedric Armour (Concept) v1.1 - Robert's Female Body (1.2) version
----------------------------------------------------------
by VagabondAngel
This simple little hatchet job started out as a request from a couple of folks at the ElderScrolls forums, who wished to see a female Daedric armour more like the one that Bethsoft showed us in the concept art prior to Oblivion's release. There are no new textures, just edited meshes - all the amour parts were squished and chopped from the original vanilla meshes. The only new mesh is the skirt part of the greaves. But I think I managed to keep quite close to the concept design - there was some disagreement on what the helmet should look like so I did 3 variations to cover different tastes. The armour comes in female only, will replace female only. This version adds compatibilty with Robert's new Female Body Replacer and includes a couple of mesh tweaks to better show the body parts.
Installation:
----------------
You will need to have Robert's Female Body Replacer (v1.2) installed already for this to work.
There are several options for in-game use of the armour:
Armour mesh replacer
---------------------------------
- if you wish to use this and keep any previous female daedric meshes you have, make a backup of your armor\daedric\f folder first. Replaces the stock female daedric armour meshes and therefore bound armour and enchanted daedric armour also.
Open the Armour Replacer folder from the zip and copy the meshes folder to your Oblivion\Data folder. Click yes to overwrite previous files.
This contains the following folders/meshes
meshes\armor\daedric\f\gauntlets.nif
meshes\armor\daedric\f\greaves.nif
meshes\armor\daedric\f\cuirass.nif
meshes\armor\daedric\f\boots.nif
textures\va\Armour\CDaedric\daedricskirt.dds
textures\va\Armour\CDaedric\daedricskirt_n.dds
Helmet mesh replacer
---------------------------------
- replaces the stock daedric female helmet. See above regarding backups.
Open the Helmet Replacer folder and copy the VA_FemmeDaedricHelmet.esp to your Oblivion\Data folder. Be sure to activate the .esp before playing or your girl will have no head when she dons a daedric helmet.
Choose one of the helmet mesh replacer options. Each of the 3 folders has a screenshot of the helmet it contains and a meshes folder. Once you have decided, copy the relevant meshes folder to your Oblivion\Data folder. Click yes to overwrite any previous files.
You can change your helmet replacer style at any time by doing the same again with any of the 3 choices.
Each helmet option folder contains:
meshes\armor\daedric\f\helmet.nif
meshes\armor\daedric\f\helmet_gnd.nif
Daedric Priestess Armour
--------------------------------------
- adds one unique set of the new armour.
Open the Daedric Priestess Armour folder and copy the VA_DaedricPriestessArmour.esp and the meshes and textures folders to your Oblivion\Data folder. Click yes to overwrite (this is a formality - there should not be any files/folders of the same name). Activate the esp.
This armour is a unique set and can be used in parallel with the relpacer if you so desire. I have no information regarding conflict with other mods.
I have set the armour up in the same way as the gladiator raiments in vanilla Oblivion - one click will equip the entire armour and thus it cannot be mixed and matched with other armours. The helmets can be equipped seperately however (this part contains its own helmets and you do not need to use the helmet replacer.
This folder contains:
textures\va\Armour\CDaedric\daedricskirt.dds
textures\va\Armour\CDaedric\daedricskirt_n.dds
textures\menus\icons\va\Armour\CDaedric\armour.dds
textures\menus\icons\va\Armour\CDaedric\helmet1.dds
textures\menus\icons\va\Armour\CDaedric\helmet2.dds
textures\menus\icons\va\Armour\CDaedric\helmet3.dds
meshes\va\Armour\CDaedric\armour.nif
meshes\va\Armour\CDaedric\armour_gnd.nif
meshes\va\Armour\CDaedric\helmet1.nif
meshes\va\Armour\CDaedric\helmet1_gnd.nif
meshes\va\Armour\CDaedric\helmet2.nif
meshes\va\Armour\CDaedric\helmet2_gnd.nif
meshes\va\Armour\CDaedric\helmet3.nif
meshes\va\Armour\CDaedric\helmet3_gnd.nif
meshes\va\Armour\CDaedric\helmet.egm
Playing:
------------
Easy.. one replaces stock female daedric armour, one bit gives a choice of helmet
The Daedric Priestess Armour belongs to a female Dremora who is hiding out in Rielle Ayleid ruin, just to the west of Cloud Ruler Temple. You will have to fight her for the armour, obviously. Not very imaginative but its better than a chest just outside the Imperial City sewers.
Bugs/Issues:
-------------------
There seems to be a conflict of some kind with some mods that affects the helmet meshes, which ends up rotating them through 90 degrees. Placing the replacer esp at the end of your load order should fix this.
There is very slight clipping between the plates and the skirt during some animations.
When in 3rd person sneak mode, the skirt and belt plates clip quite badly. Only noticeable from certain angles.
The greaves and cuirass have been set up to compliment each other but will most likely not mix and match very well with other armour sets.
Anything else, let me know either at my forum or the ES official forums. My forum can be found here:

Robert for his wonderful new Female Body Replacer.
Scanti for the wonderful little Conformulator tool for making egm files for custom helmets.
Very little credit goes to me for this offering. All I did was butcher the stock meshes, chopping bits off and squishing other bits. The lions share goes to whichever artist(s) came up with the concept art and the vanilla daedric armour. Kudos to them.
The rest of the credit goes to my friends and peers at the Elderscrolls Forums - for inspiration and support.
Legal crap (and usage policy):
