You never know, Sacristy - it may not have as much of an effect as you think by the time I've tweaked it to save FPS... we'll see. Another shot of the shield: Shield render - new gem and rear cap for shield. No handle yet. And started on Hissyo v2: Hissyo v2.0 (render)Hissyo v2.0 (closeup - render)Another shot with a new shiny tip and an extra bit near the tsuba: RenderGetting somewhere....

The pics seem to be down at this moment, but I saw them earlier. Don't take this wrong, but your shield reminds me of the Gungan shields in Ep I. ;D Hissyo 2 is looking good, very realistic detail, I think that I've seen a similar looking sword in a catalogue before. Now I wish that I had bought it.

Hehe ;D actually, it was watching Phantom Menace that inspired me to make it, mate So that is completely understandable. No pictures but some news... I learned how to animate bows yesterday. Thanks Phil.

I learned how to animate bows yesterday. Thanks Phil. Awesome my friend! I can't wait to see kind of bows you can turn out. On a semi-related note, I managed to get Max running in software mode, someone on the ES forum made a second request thread, and I felt compelled to try and help them out. Another weird request, this time, an XBOX 360. ;D -Slayer

They want you to make them an XBox360? For Morrowind?...... Ok, to each their own I suppose. Good news you got Max running but I wouldn't try any complex scenes or rendering in software mode, mate.... not that it matters if you do further harm to your existing system really does it? When you get your new one we should have some kind of ritual sacrifice of the old one... you know, to the computer gods. ;D On topic - I'm experimenting with bows at the mo. I'm doing that thing of starting too many bits at once again. Bad habit.

No, not doing anything complex, as you said, would probably be more trouble than it's worth. I already have a sacrifice in mind, it involves the old tower, a sledge hammer, and my truck. ;D Uh-oh, I know that too well, try and pace yourself, so you don't get overwhelmed. Here's a render of the XBOX-Slayer

Excellent, VA conquers another aspect of MW modelling & Slayer miraculously gets Max to cooperate once more. A good day indeed.

Thanks OC - do you prefer the non detailed shield more by the way?
Great 360 my friend ;D You should do a WIP - XBox 360 thread. ;D

Thank you sir, the XBOX is done though, I can't do much of anything else with it, I wanted to glowmap it so the power light worked properly, but couldn't. Plus I can't test it, Morrowind won't run on this POS, and the CS render window stays blank, even after loading a cell. Here's a view of the model in the perspective windowYUCK! OK, I'll stop hijacking your thread now. -Slayer

Thanks OC - do you prefer the non detailed shield more by the way? Yes I do indeed, looking very fine with the new gem & rear cap too.

Hehe ;D actually, it was watching Phantom Menace that inspired me to make it, mate So that is completely understandable. No pictures but some news... I learned how to animate bows yesterday. Thanks Phil. Well then, that's cool. However I know some people weren't fond of the Gungans in general or that battle sequence. Didn't know if the comparison would bother you or not. ;D *tries to imagine a VA bow* ;D

Thanks OC - I agree it does look better unadorned. swrd - that's ok, I hate the Gungans too... particularly that "comedy insert" character. But I did like their shields... I'll get back to work on this soon... I've been sorting out my website and its future for the last few days.

Still not making much progress at the mo... I keep experimenting with new stuff I've learned but haven't made anything worth keeping so far. So I have embarked upon my first ever bow (animations courtesy of tutelage by Phijama). Its still in early stages and has no detail but I haven't posted a screenshot up for over a week and thought it was about time: Recurve bow - 1st attempt
