Thanks OC - I'm not sure I'm glad about it... I tried to hold it off but its like the thing re-installed itself. Who am I to resist?
Any changes/edits needed that you can see so far?

Nothing that jumps out at me - they both look shiny!
The poly count on the axe grip's a bit astronomical, but it certainly looks great.

Unfortunately it is (35,000 for the grip) but I couldn't get it to look that good at a lower poly count without changing the design completely. But since its unique, it should be ok (I hope).
The stuff will need testing on an average machine before I finalise release so it doesn't cause problems like my Stoopid Gold Replacer ;D

Oky doky, the axe is now finished (definitely) - I didn't like the "gold" outline that was appearing on the detail so I redid the mask for it. Here's some in-game screens of the completed article: 12345And thus endeth my first axe.

As I said on the es forums, this is one hell of an axe! Awesome as allways!

Thanks Nick... I thought it was ok for my first. I'm going to map and texture Slayer's mace next... screens when I've got some results.

OOooh. So far so good, methinks. Looking at the axe makes me glad that I had an old save of my first character, he uses an axe as a secondary weapon, and really the only one that ever has made use of an axe.
Can't think of anything that particularly stands out to me right now, so I don't really have and 'good' feedback to give you.

As I said before, that axe is amazing. The length is perfect and the design is fantastic.
Can't wait to see what you come up with next!

Well I'm not really an armour wearer or swordie person.
I prefer to wear a nice red dress with matching high heel boots and whack 'em with me fighting celery stick.
However that axe is really exquisite.
It oozes quality and excellence.
Sooper dooper craftsmanship youth.

Thanks Sterl... and yeah we do need more emoticons. I'm not sure how to get more on.. I'll have to find out. swrd - as of now I think the axe is finished unless I find some annoying bit that isn't quite right. But chime in if you notice anything. TPO - glad you approve of the dimensions. Its how I imagine Snaga to be, size-wise. kathryn, dear... thanks mate. I might even whip you up some ref-mapped celery.... ;D OC - thanks, also, matey. It just looked a bit muddled with that gold outline.. it needed to look "clean" if you know what I mean. I'll be working on a dagger later on... and textures/maps for Slayer's mace.

Although I'm not an axe-wielding type of person myself (other than chopping wood) your axe looks amazing. Great detail on the blade.
What I definitively will use is that brilliant light staff of yours! I love it!
